A fake paramedic who presented himself as a “bottom specialist” has been sentenced to three years and three months in jail.
Patrick Galvão Matos Ferreira is believed to have injected mineral oil into his victims’ buttocks.
He was arrested in 2019 as he was preparing to give a 26-year-old model buttock injections in a hotel room in Guarulhos, Brazil.

At least four people say they were given butt lifts by Ferreira, who was 35 at the time of his arrest.
One says she met Ferreira through a mutual acquaintance in 2018.
According to her, he wore a paramedic uniform and presented himself as a “bottom specialist”.
He charged her 1,300 BRL (£180) for a butt lift, as reported on Need To Know.
In one month, Ferreira gave her three injections into her buttocks.
After the second procedure, she began to experience leg pain, coughing, and shortness of breath.
When she told him about her symptoms, he “prescribed” her medication and told her to avoid exertion.
He also gave her a fourth procedure, piercing her leg with a needle and squeezing it to “reduce the swelling”.
But her cough didn’t go away, so she ended up seeking medical help elsewhere.
Investigators later found that Ferreira had injected her and his other victims with mineral oil.
Tests in April 2022 showed that she still had the substance in her left thigh more than three years after the procedure.
During questioning, Ferreira claimed he didn’t know her and had never performed cosmetic procedures.
He claimed he worked in sales and never wore a paramedic uniform.
In addition to hotel rooms, Ferreira carried out the procedures in homes and gyms.
He charged some of his victims as little as 400 BRL (£56), according to earlier reports.
Local media reported his sentence on Wednesday (3 Jul) without specifying what he was convicted of.
However, earlier reports say he was charged with illegal practice of medicine, bodily injury, document forgery, and adulteration of therapeutic products.
His lawyers are still protesting his innocence and say they have appealed the sentence.
If it is upheld, he must serve it in a semi-open facility, meaning he will be able to leave to work during the day.
