A newlywed was killed just hours after tying the knot when a “speeding” BMW ploughed into him.
Dad-of-one, Fábio Toshiro Kikuda was holding hands with his new wife when he was struck by the luxury convertible on Saturday (13 Jul) night.
After colliding with the bonnet, he landed on the open-top car and died instantly, as reported on Need To Know.

According to his wife, the occupants got out of the vehicle, removed his body and placed it on the road.
They then fled the scene in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Hours earlier, 42-year-old Fábio and his partner of six years, Bruna Villarinho Kikuta, had wed.
After the wedding reception, they dropped their luggage off at a hotel and crossed the road to get to the seafront for a romantic stroll.

According to witnesses, the BMW driver was speeding and driving recklessly.
He has been identified as an influencer and self-described freestyle footballer, Vitor Vieira Belarmino.
The 30-year-old had 280,000 followers on Instagram before removing his page.

His car was seized at a nearby condo shortly after the accident.
A headlamp was broken, the bodywork was dented and wine stains and broken glass were found inside.

Five women were travelling in the car as passengers at the time of the collision and have since given their statements to the police.
The driver is believed to have gone on the run.
Authorities have ordered his arrest on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and failure to provide assistance.

Fábio was a physiotherapist and leaves behind a 15-year-old son.
He was laid to rest in Rio de Janeiro on Monday (15 Jul), the day he and Bruna, 38, were supposed to go on their honeymoon.
They were planning to go backpacking around Japan, where his father is from.
A friend, Bárbara Muradas, told local media: “Few people have the chance to gather all their friends before they pass away.


“He was able to bring together everyone he loved on the day he left us. We try to think of that to ease the pain a little.”
