A truck driver was killed after his lorry brakes failed like in a scene from the movie Speed.
Adolfo Martínez’s white truck was seen hurtling out-of-control on the mountain road.
The HGV was seen careering around the sharp bends.

The occupant of a vehicle behind filmed the horror moment on their mobile phone.
Tragic truck driver Adolfo is then seen manoeuvring up a ramp in an apparent bid to slow down the vehicle, but plunges over the side.

The badly damaged lorry is seen lying on its roof by the side of the road.
The fatal accident took place on National Route 25 between the towns of Pasto and Ipiales in Nariño Department, Colombia.
Adolfo, 40, was killed at the scene.
He reportedly sounded the vehicle’s horn as a warning to other motorists as he sped out of control along the highway.
Jhon Mora, chief of the Ipiales Fire Department, said: “Cutting tools were used to remove the driver who was unfortunately found lifeless.
“Extraction tools were used to cut free the body.”
He added: “The accident occurred when the vehicle had a brake problem and the driver went up the ramp before, unfortunately, it fell on its roof.”
The victim was travelling alone at the time of the fatal smash, as reported by Need To Know.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
In the first half of this year, the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) registered 3,943 deaths due to road accidents in Colombia.
The 1994 movie Speed – starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock – features a bus that can’t go below 50mph.
