A train passenger dressed as Spider-Man kicked another claiming to be Batman onto the railway track at a metro station.
David Alan Martins de Lana was returning home from his job as an entertainer when he was attacked.
As he waited on the platform dressed as the Marvel superhero, a man went up to him and started joshing with him.

The two exchanged good-natured banter, but the man reportedly became aggressive after David, 25, mimicked slinging a web at him.

The man reportedly said to him: “If you’re Spider-Man, I’m Batman.”
He then allegedly punched David in the face, damaging his mask on Saturday (20 Jul).
The two men then began scrapping and David ended up kicking his attacker onto the tracks as baffled commuters looked on.
Security guards rushed to the scene to break up the fight.
However, when they arrived, “Batman” allegedly started pelting them with stones from the tracks.
It took three guards to restrain the 33-year-old suspect, who was handcuffed at the scene before being taken to A&E.
David declined medical attention, as reported on Need To Know.
Both men were subsequently taken to a local police station in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, to give their statements.
David lamented: “While I was at the police station filing the report, the news was already on all the websites, and the video was everywhere.”
Both were released on bail and must attend a future court date.
David told local media it was the first time he’d been attacked in costume.

However, he said the ordeal wouldn’t stop him from wearing his superhero outfit to and from work.
He said: “I enjoy dressing up as Spider-Man, it brings joy to the children.
“Even adults, when they’re coming home from work, stressed out, see Spider-Man and feel a bit happier.
“I won’t let anyone interfere with my work.”
His attacker, identified as Rafael Augusto Reis da Mata, claims he suffers from a psychiatric disorder.
