The musician son of acting legend Penelope Keith has penned a single in honour of his mum after she died from cancer.
Paul Timson, 46, began working on the track in the weeks leading up to his mum’s death.
The Good Life star died in June, aged 86, following a battle with cancer.

The song, titled Keep Smiling is in his mum’s honour.
It was inspired by Dame Penelope’s positive outlook on life, as reported by Need To Know.
Paul, who lives in Fortrose in the Highlands, said: “I wrote this song a few months before she died.
“She had such a positive outlook on life, even given her diagnosis.
“She is from that generation where she just got on with it and didn’t let it interfere with life as much as possible.
“The song is about having a good time and keeping smiling and enjoying what you’ve got while it’s here.
“I hope if someone is feeling a bit down, it just puts a smile on their face.
“You have only got one shot on this planet, as far as you know, so you have to make the most of it.
“There is no point in moping around.
“You just have to get through it.”

He said: “I didn’t know who his mum was until she passed away.
“It was all a shock.
“How many millions of people did she make smile, so the song is quite fitting in that respect.
All proceeds from the single will be donated between Macmillan Cancer Support and Poppyscotland.
Paul added: “With Macmillan and the nurses, I had never witnessed anyone dying of cancer before.
“My mum was treated at home towards the end.
“She wasn’t in a hospice and to see what the nurses do, it was just incredible.
“I thought, I would love to be able to give something back.
“You can say thank you so many times but I just wanted to try and raise some money for them.
“I know mum would have been really keen on that.”
The musicians hope the track will become a positive anthem for mental health and inspire people to keep smiling.
Dame Penelope was one of Britain’s best-loved comedy actresses thanks to her inimitable portrayal of Margo Leadbetter in 1970s sitcom The Good Life, among other roles.
As Margo, the formidable social-climbing snob with a cut-glass voice but a soft interior, Keith ensured her place in the nation’s hearts.
Her next TV hit To the Manor Born, playing true-blue aristocrat Audrey fforbes-Hamilton, was another huge ratings success.
