A bodybuilder died from a massive heart attack as he was taking part in a competition.
Antônio Leso Brás de Souza was treated by on-site medics, but they couldn’t save his life.
His wife, Yone Farias, and others, later confirmed that he’d had a heart attack.

It happened as he took part in the 2024 Navega Open championship in Navegantes, southwest of São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday (3 Aug).
Shortly before the competition, De Souza shared a video on social media.
He’d sounded optimistic as he told his fans: “All right, folks, off to the weigh-in. God willing, everything will go well.
“We’re lean, right? I think you can tell from my face.”
De Souza boasted more than 9,000 followers on Instagram, as reported on Need To Know.
There, he shared snaps of his muscular, tattooed physique and clips of his gruelling workouts.
He had written in his bio that he’d won a number of trophies between 2020 and 2022.
His body will be flown back to his home city, Manaus, today (6 Aug) for a funeral and burial.
His wife captioned a clip of him grinning and flexing for the camera: “This is how I will remember you, my love.”
She also posted: “Rest in peace, my eternal love. Although life has ended, my love for you will last forever.
“Your departure has left a void, but your memory will stay with me always.”
De Souza’s age wasn’t mentioned in reports.
