A 16-year-old footballer has died after being struck by lightning during a match.
Schoolboy, Leonardo Gómez Garduño, passed away in the ICU on Sunday (4 Aug).
The previous Sunday (28 Jul), lightning had struck the field he was playing on.

Six players sustained various injuries, with the most severe ones sustained by Leonardo, as reported by Need To Know.
He was taken to a local hospital in Cuernavaca, Mexico, in critical condition and with burn injuries.
It was reported at the time that he had injuries to his heart, nervous system and kidneys.
Leonardo underwent an operation on his brain, that reportedly lasted more than 10 hours.
But even after the surgery, his neurological condition was “very compromised”, according to his family.
They said the horror unfolded as he “was doing what he loved most”.
Gómez was laid to rest in Cuernavaca yesterday (6 Aug).
None of the other affected players were critically injured.
The football pitch struck by lightning was hosting a game between Spartak Deportivo Cuernavaca and Esferitas Venados.
