Some people are bathing in the sea as the metre-long snake passes them just yards away.
It finally reaches the pebbly beach, where young children are among those standing close by.
It continues sliding towards the line of palm trees on the beachfront narrowly passing towels and chairs on its way.
The sss-cary scenes were filmed on Las Delicias beach in Águilas, Murcia Province, Spain, as reported by Need To Know.
The clip was reported by local media on Wednesday (7 Aug).
The area is popular with British tourists, who made up more than a quarter of international visitors last year.
Local man Juan commented on the video: “Up where the castle is, I’ve seen larger ones.

“And while these animals may or may not appeal to you, they are beneficial since they feed on rodents that can spread diseases.”
Álvaro, who was apparently on the beach at the time, wrote: “For those wondering, the snake continued on its way and went into a pipe opening.”

In reply, Mari Carmen joked: “It might come out of someone’s toilet.”
