This is the shocking moment a man attempted to steal an old lady’s bag outside a five-star hotel.
The incident took place in front of Brown’s Hotel, in Mayfair, London, where rooms cost upwards of £800 a night.

Suddenly a man wearing a green coat, black jeans and white trainers attempted to wrestle the bag from her grasp, as reported by Need To Know.
Members of the public rushed to her aid, grabbing the thief and shielding the woman.
Eventually, a man in a grey suit wrestled the bag from the thief who dropped it as he attempted to escape.
Members of the public were left disgusted by the incident but praised the strangers who jumped in to help.

Chris stated: “Robbing the elderly is the lowest.”
Another said: “It is unbelievable how casually he came over and robbed her.

“Who the hell attacks a nanny.”
Steve Smith added: “Well done that man who helped her.”
Charl Marsh said: “Scum of the earth.”
Caroline added: “Well done the public.”

Brown’s Hotel has been approached for a comment and have not yet responded.
Jam Press contacted Met Police and was told authorities had no further information to add regarding the incident.
