Huw Edwards was described as a “pantomime baddie” by BBC stars, two years before he admitted making indecent images of children.
Jane Garvey and Fi Gover hosted the disgraced Beeb news broadcaster on their podcast back in May 2022.
Discussing his appearance on ‘Fortunately… with Fi and Jane’ afterwards, they said while he was a “terrific guest”, they could imagine him playing a “baddie” on stage.

Fi even described Edwards as delivering every statement with an “arched eyebrow.”
The podcast is still on the BBC’s website.
Edwards, 62, resigned in April and on 31 July pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.
Discussing their guest on the previous episode, Garvey said: “He was very much his acerbic, bone dry, witty self.”
Glover added: “Everything was delivered with an almost pantomime arched eyebrow.
“If Huw were in pantomime, he would be the baddie who you can’t wait to get on stage and have a laugh with.
“He’d have a long flowing silk cape, long fingernails and a light would always be above him and a clap of thunder when he arrived.
“I thought he was a terrific guest, as everything we asked him he gave an honest answer to.
“I really enjoyed his appearance.”
The Huw Edwards interview podcast has been removed from BBC iPlayer.
Huw Edwards is due to appear in court again on 16 September for his sentence, as reported by Need To Know.
The former Beeb star could face a custodial sentence.
