A woman has revealed how she was forced to splash out over £4,000 to get her botched filler fixed after it “pooled” in her hip.

Vanessa Knight was horrified when she noticed that the substance had migrated.

The 24-year-old initially had received hip enhancement filler, which involves injectable dermal fillers, formulated specifically for body contouring.

To amend the botched job, she was forced to travel over 9,000 miles – from her native in Australia to London – to have it corrected through a trademarked procedure known as SkinTight.

Less invasive than liposuction, this involves two tiny incisions, each about the size of a beauty spot and is performed under anaesthesia.

A special cannula is used to heat and melt superficial fat, which causes the skin to shrink, lift and break down fibrosis.

“I’d had filler done at another clinic, and I had a few complications with migration and lumps,” Vanessa told Need To Know.

“The procedure itself was honestly painless, which I wasn’t expecting.

“I was really nervous that it was going to be painful but it wasn’t at all.

“Dr Ducu was able to make my buttocks really symmetrical, they look really good now.

“I’m really, really happy.

“I wish I came here from the beginning.”

SkinTight – trademarked by Dr Ducu in the UK – can also be used to treat post-lipo fibrosis, a condition marked by uneven skin texture after surgery.

But it’ll cost you.

The procedure is priced between £4,000-£5,500 and takes up to three hours – though only one session is required.

The treatment claims to enhance the skin’s elasticity, reduces sagging and improves overall skin tone.

Polylactic acid, and hyaluronic acid is also injected into the subject to stimulate collagen production.

Another of Dr Ducu’s patients opted for the procedure after she became self-conscious about the cellulite on her thighs and buttocks.

She said: “I’ve always been self-conscious about the cellulite on my thighs and buttocks.

“When I heard about SkinTight, I was hopeful it could help reduce the dimpling and improve the texture of my skin.

“I’m so impressed with how much the cellulite on my thighs and buttocks has reduced.

“The skin looks smoother and more toned, and I feel a lot more confident in my clothes.”

“It has really changed how I feel about my body.

“I’m more confident, and I love how smooth and firm my skin looks now.”

SkinTight is claimed to yields permanent results, providing that the patient maintains a stable BMI.

The treatment promises no visible scarring and minimal downtime, and can be effective at reducing cellulite.

Patients typically wear a compression garment for three to seven days to support healing.

It also works to tighten loose skin on the arms, back, neck and face.

With a career spanning over a decade, Dr Ducu has earned a loyal following including high-profile celebrities and influencers.

Many patients have had the procedure to tighten the skin in their abdominal area.

One woman opted for SkinTight to correct fibrotic tissue caused by having liposuction.

She said: “I chose the SkinTight procedure because I was struggling with fibrotic tissue after liposuction, which left my skin looking uneven and bumpy.”

“I wanted to smooth out those areas and regain a more natural look.

“I’m absolutely thrilled with the results, and I finally feel like my skin looks even again.

“It has definitely boosted my confidence.

“I no longer feel self-conscious about the areas where I had fibrotic tissue, and my overall appearance has improved significantly.”

Dr Ducu added: “These patient experiences highlight how SkinTight has not only improved their physical appearance but also significantly boosted their confidence and self-esteem.”

“The fact that such impressive results were achieved in just one session is a testament to the effectiveness of the procedure.”
