AI often gets a bad rap, and that’s largely understandable. There are a lot of fears about what the future may hold regarding job security and even public safety.

That said, it doesn’t have to be the boogie man of the 21st century (for now at least). The tools that have become available can be of great aid to people engaging in a wide plethora of different jobs and activities.

In this article, you’ll discover a few ways that AI can enhance your life for the better – no matter who you are and what you do.

Time Management Tools

One of the most helpful uses of AI at the moment is to save time. Since the advent of OpenAI’s Chat GTP, AI language models have revolutionised the way we use the internet by streamlining research and offering focused answers to user questions based on a wide spectrum of data sets. Tech giants such as Apple, Google, and Microsoft have since rolled out their own dedicated tools, and it’s become clear that this technology is set to feature as the next major evolution of the web.

Language models aren’t the only time-saving use case for AI, either. Similar technologies such as those used in document data extraction allow users to speedily scan and clip the key information they need from high volumes of paperwork, contracts, invoices, and more.

Of course, you’ve still got tools like Siri and Google Assistant that offer hands-free, seamless integration with the web, too, and these services are getting significantly more efficient year after year.

AI-Driven Education

Another realm in which AI has been making waves is education. Internet learning resources have always been evolving to make the experience fun and easy for the user, but recently, services like Duolingo, Khan Academy, and others have been implementing AI to adjust courses to be more tailored.

Rather than offering standard, linear learning as you’d utilise in school and university, AI can now learn from a user’s experience over time and adjust the difficulty of the course dynamically. It’s even capable of offering tips and suggestions specifically for problem areas.

This personalised approach allows learners to grow at their own pace which can result in them getting to their goals faster. While only in its infancy, this sort of tech sets an exciting precedence for the future of education.

For Decision Making

A serious point of contention when considering the ethics of AI is the ability of a system to make decisions. This is certainly a concern, but for now, there are several safe ways in which artificial intelligence can work alongside humans to solve tough problems.

One of the main use cases is for predicting outcomes. This is where a user can provide an AI with a certain problem and have it thoroughly analyse it to predict results (a process that would be too laborious to go through manually). Rather than providing a decision on a topic, the technology helps humans themselves make more informed choices.

There are limitless areas this type of AI model can be implemented, whether it be in research, business, or even creative endeavours.

Wrapping Up

While we should certainly exercise caution about AI and how quickly the technology is growing, it is undeniable that there are many impressive ways it can make our lives easier. The important thing is that we stay focussed on how it benefits us rather than pushing development for the sake of it.
