An influencer has revealed she is trying to hook up her “gay” dog with a boyfriend online.
Marina Smith claims that her “sensitive” six-year-old pooch Bartholomeu is lovelorn and desperate for companionship.
And the 34-year-old model, who hit headlines in the past for her own relationship dramas, has now launched a hunt for the perfect match.

The model posted a picture of Bartolomeu to Instagram, with a description of what he’s looking for.
The post reads: “Looking for a boyfriend for Bartolomew!
“Folks, after observing Bartolomeu’s behaviour lately, I’ve begun to notice that he always feels more comfortable and affectionate towards other male dogs.
“As a good pet mom, I believe he’s just looking for someone special to connect with!
“So, I decided to open the roads and find a boyfriend for my faithful companion.
“He’s a sensitive dog, companion, playful
“Do you know any pet that fits this profile? Let’s see if we can find true love for Bartolomeu!”
Marina, from São Paulo, Brazil, says she started to suspect her dog was gay after noticing some unusual behaviours on their walks.
“Bartolomeu seemed more interested in interacting with other male dogs and was displaying affectionate behaviour that I didn’t see when he was around females,” she told Need To Know.
“He always prefers playing with males and feels more comfortable, and as a mother I quickly picked up on the signs.“
But Marina says like a human, her dog is looking for a specific type of partner.
She said: “He’s a sensitive, playful, and affectionate dog, born under the sign of Leo.
“The other dog doesn’t need to be a specific breed, although aesthetics like size and build are important.
“Ultimately, Bartolomeu will decide his type and I’ll let him choose freely.”
Marina said that the search for a companion for Bartolomeu reflects the care she has for him and their “mother-son relationship”.
She said: “I don’t see any issue with him having a friend to play with, and maybe a companion.
“Even though he’s neutered, I believe he still needs someone to connect with.”
She says she has received criticism from family and friends regarding her search for a boyfriend for the pup.
But she isn’t taking any notice.
Marina said: “That doesn’t worry me.
“What really worries me is my pet’s happiness.
“I think some humans should have the same relationship I have with him.
“It would save a lot of money on therapy for their kids in the future.”
Marina spends between £200 and £300 a month on her dog, which she says some people find excessive.
She said: “It includes a dog sitter for walks, pet shop expenses, etc.
“I don’t see a problem with that.
“The issue is that many people question the fact that he’s not ‘treated like a dog.”
Marina previously hit headlines when she claimed that her former flame demanded £338 from her after they parted ways.
Apparently, he wanted her to refund a trip they took together.
The model thought the demand was “absurd” but still agreed to pay out.
However when she did so, she couldn’t resist getting petty revenge on the chap.
The former Miss BumBum winner sent her former lover R$2,500 (Brazilian Real) in coins, which is equivalent to around £338.
She said: “I could have transferred him the money in seconds but I preferred to give him a little more work.”
