A painter had a brush with death after a van crashed into his cherry picker.
In shocking footage, the impact from the smash causes the platform to swing round at a high speed.
The painter, and his tools which were in his hands, both go flying, with the man barely holding on the railing of the lift.
In the clip, which has over four million views, the van emerges and casually cruises down the residential street.
The elevating work platform has been set up along the side of the road, with the arm of the crane over the street.
Everything appeared to be going well for the painter, who was working on the Welschapstraat in Rotterdam-Overschie, Netherlands.
This was only until the van arrived and collided with the cut of the support arm, causing the container to completely swing out at almost a 180-degree angle.
With the force of the crash, the painter loses his balance and barely manages to hold on.
As the platform recovers from the incident, the painter can be seen standing gripping the rails in shock from what just happened.
All of his things are strung across the ground, however he managed to keep a hold of what looks like a tin of paint.
The driver of the van was a parcel deliverer, and according to bystanders, he was very shaken by the accident.
The painter was slightly injured.
After the video was shared online, it has gained over 900 comments from viewers who were both shocked, but also entertained.
Lieke wrote: “How did that van even get there?
“You’re closing down the street, right? If you’re going to hang over it like that with the jacker, I suppose?”
Lukas commented: “Driver’s licence gone and that’s the best forever, how can you not see that.”
“How many times have you watched this? Me: Yes,” said a third user.
Kirk added: “New spec savers advert.”
“Who’s really at fault here… the dude in the jack for faulty placement or the dude not breaking in time… I think we all know,” wrote someone else.
