A fitness influencer who eats eggs with every meal says it ended her relationship because her boyfriend “couldn’t stand” the diet anymore.
Rosana Ferreira is extremely dedicated to maintaining her trim shape, which means eating copious amounts of protein regularly.
It’s no wonder she is so dedicated to her appearance; the model, who has 152,000 followers online, makes a fortune from it.

But it has come at a cost – and we’re not just referring to the food shop bill.
“My diet is so restricted that it really affects my social life,” she told Need To Know.

“At first, you can kind of hide it but eventually people notice you’re eating eggs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
“It has already caused a break-up.
“I had been dating someone for two months and he complained that we never went out to eat normal food.
“I told him I was prepping for a competition but it was eggs every day.
“I guess he couldn’t take it.
“One day, he said to me: ‘It’s me or these eggs!’

“Guess who won?”
Despite the end of a budding romance, Rosana – who won the first-ever Miss BumBum competition in 2011 – has no regrets about sticking by her protein of choice.
But the experience – and advice from a therapist – has inspired her to go on a “man detox”.
She said: “There was another guy who told me he loved fitness women but when I explained the amount of eggs I eat weekly, he never called me again!

“I actually found it funny.
“I used to avoid talking about the diet at first but it always came back to haunt me later.
“So, I started being honest right away: ‘Look, my life revolves around controlled meals.’
“I think it’s better to be transparent!
“She [the therapist] told me, ‘You need some time for yourself, without romantic involvement’.
“I agreed right away.
“I’d rather be alone with the body that makes me happy than give up my discipline for someone who doesn’t understand my lifestyle.

“Right now, I’m taking care of myself and honestly, it’s been great!”
Rosana, who lives in São Paulo, Brazil, spends a small fortune on her diet.
A recent food shop saw her walk away with 1,200 eggs.

She added: “In the end, my diet is a big part of my life, and whoever wants to be with me [in the future] will have to understand that.
“It’s a test.
“If he doesn’t run off immediately, that’s a good sign.
“I’ll be clear: ‘Here, eggs come first, then the relationship.’”
