The popular course sees runners breeze past iconic locations and take in the city’s greenery in Sale and Altrincham.
The iconic starting place near Manchester United’s stadium under Trafford Arch still remains the same- with supporters set to adorn the streets and cheer on the runners from the get go.
It will take place at the same time as the London Marathon, proving it to be the largest day of marathon running in the history of the UK.

“This switch combines what already makes the adidas Manchester Marathon special, with the same epic start under Trafford Arch but with significant improvements to the post-finish experience for our heroes and their supporters.
“Taking place at the same time as London, we know the eyes of the world will be on us, so cannot wait to further showcase everything Greater Manchester and the iconic city centre has to offer.”
