Two people have been tragically killed while attempting to perform a bike stunt.
Juan Pablo Aguilón Soto had adapted his bicycle to perform something called a ‘Gravity Bike’ – which consists of descending a slope without the intervention of brakes.
The 21-year-old, who is also known as Soto GV online, was joined on the bike by a 13-year-old girl, who sat on the back.

While performing the stunt, things very quickly became dangerous as Juan tried to overtake a vehicle.
His manoeuvre failed, leading to a motorcycle that was going uphill colliding with his bicycle.
Unable to regain control, Juan and the teen were thrown off the bike and ended up underneath the tires of a truck that was travelling downhill.

Paramedics were called to the scene on the scene but neither victim responded to resuscitation efforts.
The accident occurred on 5 November at 6pm on a road to Morrorrico, in Bucaramanga, Columbia, as reported by Need To Know.

The devastating incident has rocked the city of Bucaramanga, where Juan and the girl were both reportedly from.
Juan, who had 14,000 followers online, had started a group called ‘Gravity Bikers’.

This stunt has been widely criticised and rather than being considered a sport, it has been viewed as a ‘tombstone’ for those who engage in it.
The young girl who was involved in the accident did not ride bicycles herself but reportedly entered the world of Gravity Bike through her friends.
She has not been identified by name in local press and her connection to Juan or their relationship is not known.
