A suspected shoplifter was chased through an Asda car park by a hero security guard after being thwarted.
Shocked shoppers watched on as the guard picked up goods outside the supermarket.
A woman tried to grab the spilled food from his grasp after he put them in a bag.

A shorts-wearing alleged crook dashed towards the guard forcing him to raise his fist to defend himself.
He pursued the man through parked cars outside the store in Marshall Road, Leyton, east London.

A witness filmed it on their mobile phone.
He joked to a pal: “You think I would join in right there?”
The guard then said: “Excuse me.
Talking to a colleague he added: “This motherf*cker.”
The onlooker began to laugh as the guard chased him and the 27-second video came to an end.
It happened yesterday (November 11), as reported on Need To Know.
Steve Smith said: “Well done security.”

One local woman said: “Madness in Leyton.
“Feels like London’s turned into the wild west these days.”
Another added: “This is one of the reasons our food bills are rising so rapidly.”

Asda and the Met Police have been approached for comment.
