A quick-thinking busker serenaded a man with the Akon tune Locked up as he was collared by cops.
The female singer spotted the fella surrounded by three officers and a PCSO near a marked car.
So she started belting out the 2004 song with the lyrics: “The freedom ain’t getting no closer.
“No matter how far I go.
“My car is stolen, no registration, cops patrollin’.
“Now they don’t stop me and I get locked up.
“They won’t let me out.”
The officers appeared amused by the backing song.
The man was restrained on the ground and they appeared to put him in handcuffs, as reported by Need To Know.
It happened on Wednesday (Nov 13) in Castle Street, Dudley, West Midlands.
Angel Willets who filmed the clip stated: “Only in Dudley.”
West Midlands Police has been approached for a comment.
