For reasons that are still under investigation, the small plane missed the runway and overturned next to the perimeter fence at Las Brujas Airport in Salamanca, located north of the Chilean capital, Santiago.

The other victims were the male pilot and two women.
The passengers were rescued from the wreckage by firefighters on the scene.
They suffered multiple injuries but no one is said to be in a life-threatening condition.
