The mother was parked outside the boy’s home as the thieves passed along the road on their bikes.
She got out of the vehicle to ring the boy’s home buzzer when a hooded suspect followed her to the building entrance.
He pointed a gun at her and told her to get the children out of the car as he made his way to the driver’s side.
The woman’s three frightened kids were seen running along the pavement to safety.
The victim could then be seen walking her children’s friend to the entrance as the suspect prepared to drive off in her car.
The armed robbery took place in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte.
The victim’s husband explained that she had just left church and was dropping off the friend at his home, as reported by Need To Know.
She then planned to take their three kids to a birthday party.
He added: “Everyone was okay, thank god.
“The children saw everything, they are traumatised by it.”
According to the police, they carried out a patrol in the area immediately after the robbery, but with no luck.
The family’s vehicle has yet to be located as the investigation continues.
