La Muñeca is accused of leading a network of hitmen.
A large operation carried out by authorities saw her handcuffed, along with a man who goes by the name of Leopoldo.
In a video which has surfaced online, she can be seen walking with her hands tied behind her back.
She is accompanied by two police officers who appear to be guiding her.
The Doll then stands in a room to the right of Leopoldo, and glares right at the camera.
Both are held by a police officer, and are posing in front of the weapon which was found in her possession.
During the arrest, authorities seized a revolver handgun, and also a nine millimetre caliber pistol.
They are now in the hands of the police, who will work to analyse the weapons to determine if they were used in recent crimes.
Ahead of her arrest, The Doll had become a priority target for authorities.
In recent months, a series of murders have rocked Barrancabermeja, a municipality in Santander, Colombia.
Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera, the commander of the Magdalena Medio Police, reported that The Doll was wanted for her involvement in several homicides.
He also stated that it is suspected that she is leading a specialised network, as reported by Need To Know.
Santander’s capital city, Bucaramanga, is one of the cities with the highest murder rates throughout the national territory.
The Metropolitan Police of Bucaramanga have revealed that in the first quarter of the year 30 homicides were recorded in the area.
This year’s data is much higher than those of the same period of 2022, when the authorities reported 26 crimes of this nature.
In a statement, Lieutenant Colonel Herrera said: “With the capture of alias ‘La Muñeca’ and alias ‘Leopoldo’, a part of tranquility is generated in the region.”
“These arrests mark an advance in the dismantling of criminal structures responsible for the recent homicides.”
Since the capture, The Doll and her alleged accomplices have now been made available to the Attorney General’s Office.
National Police have explained that hearings will be held to legalise their capture, impute charges and request for security measures.
The Prosecutor’s Office is expected to request preventive detention, considering the seriousness of the events and the risk that those arrested pose to society.
