Granadillo was at the courthouse to be tried on robbery and drug trafficking charges.
But before the hearing could get underway yesterday (3 Dec), he allegedly got into a physical altercation with the police officers escorting him.
He is said to have tried to flee the building by jumping from a second-floor window.
A gruesome snap shows him lying on the ground with a bloodied, open fracture.
The officers immediately rushed down to the courtyard to make sure he didn’t flee.
An ambulance was then called and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene in Manaus, Brazil.
He was later taken to a local A&E department, as reported by Need To Know.
Granadillo – from Venezuela – was arrested in February on suspicion of stealing from commercial establishments.
The police say that at the time of his arrest, he had accumulated a whopping 60 criminal complaints.
During his arrest, he also tried to flee, but the officers managed to catch him.
He reportedly has at least 18 criminal proceedings against him for theft.
