A boy was hit by a car after running into the street to chase a kite.
The seven-year-old lad – named Shivam – went to fly the toy with some pals after finishing school.
He ran out into the street with his eyes fixed on the flying toy when he was hit by the car.

Trailing behind, little Shivam runs out into the main street just as a silver car approaches.

The driver manages to brake quickly to avoid running him over on the ground.
The victim was reportedly sent flying over 40 feet along the street in Sikar City in northern India.
He was taken to the S.K. Hospital in Sikar before being transferred to the Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur for further treatment.
According to reports, Shivam suffered a serious head trauma as well as injuries to other parts of his body.
He has been left with speech difficulties while recovering in hospital.
His family members said he was only about half a mile from his house when the accident took place.
Despite the severity of his injuries, no formal complaint has been filed with the police, as reported by Need To Know.
The authorities have yet to report whether any action will be taken against the driver following the accident.
