Seconds later, they simply pick up the decorated tree and walk out with it, as reported by Need To Know.
As the front door shuts behind them, the space looks bare and without festive cheer.
The “Grinch-esque” act was carried out in Fuengirola, Spain, and was later posted to a local community group on social media.
It sparked outrage amongst locals, who wrote the caption: “at the gate of my block a Christmas tree that we had put up was stolen.
“I have two videos from the portal security camera where you can see them being taken.
“If not returned within 24 hours we will file a complaint.”
It’s believed the tree was sadly never returned.
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.
“It would’ve been funny if he would’ve done this in the grinch costume,” one person said.
Someone else commented: “Well he must live close because he wears shoes to walk around the house.”
“Trees are expensive,” another user added.

One person said: “The real Grinch.”
“That counts as a forest crime,” another user joked.

The incident took place on 11 December and was later shared online.
