A lifeguard wearing a yellow shirt attempted to calm the situation, but the man pushed him.
The lifeguard then swung for the man and the two engaged in a brawl as the woman filming them shouted.
As the other lifeguards tried to get involved, another beachgoer came running to stop them.
Another lifeguard in a yellow shirt appeared from behind him and joined the fight.
The scuffle lasted for a short while with both men briefly falling to the ground at one point.
Several people on the beach helped to diffuse the situation as the fight came to an end.
The fight came after the man was said to have attempted to enter the sea through an exclusive area used for water sports.
He engaged in a heated discussion with the lifeguards on the coast of Playa Unión, Chubet, southwest of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Afterwards, the man went to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries to his face and arms, as reported by Need To Know.
The head lifeguard, Luis Torres, has since revealed that he contacted the man’s daughter to apologise for the incident which occurred on Sunday (5 Jan).
Luis has stated that the water sports area on the beach commonly causes these types of issues with people not understanding that the area is closed off to some.
On Monday (6 Jan), the governor of Chubet, Ignacio “Nacho” Torres announced that the lifeguards who engaged in the fight had been dismissed.
He has stressed that although the lifeguards were right to warn the man of the dangers of that area on the beach, they will be sanctioned for the fight.
