An innovative tech company has just unveiled a new, human-sized AI ‘companion’ that fits in a suitcase.

Melody, as she is known, boasts several impressive features, including the ability to maintain eye contact and what have been described as realistic movements.

She also has body components that are replaceable, which might be handy depending on what you are planning to use her for.

A spokesperson for Realbotix confirmed to Need To Know. that a model like Melody would retail for around $150,000 (£122,027).

“In addition, the hardware is open-source, allowing our robots to interact with various AI platforms when required.”

Melody is one of a number of robots produced by Realbotix, which creates humanoid robots with integrated AI to allow for a truly lifelike experience.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed: “Melody does not have the functions of a sex doll.

“These robots are more so for engagement and entertainment and building human connection.

“They are AI agnostic so can run any AI program.

“With that – they can run any of the spicier programs and engage in adult conversations.”
