An influencer and businessman has died while getting a “large scale” tattoo.
Ricardo Godoi, 46, had 221,000 followers on Instagram and often shared content on supercars, memories with his partner Rafaela and snaps of himself at business meetings.
Fans have been left reeling by his sudden passing, with the news revealed this week that he passed away on Monday (20 January).

According to local reports, he was undergoing a large tattoo which would warrant the use of general anaesthesia in a hospital.
On the day of the incident, Ricardo told followers that he would undergo a medical procedure and planned to resume his activities by 4pm, as reported by Need To Know.

However, around noon, his death was confirmed following reported complications related to the general anaesthesia.
Due to the large size of the inking, he was reportedly undergoing the procedure in a hospital setting – which can reportedly happen in his native Brazil, where Ricardo was treated.
According to reports, police in Santa Catarina have stated that they are gathering testimonies and analysing relevant documents.

Investigators are also focusing on whether there was medical negligence, errors in anaesthesia administration, or breaches of hospital protocols.
The businessman leaves behind a wife and children.
In a post to his Instagram, posted by a colleague, an image shows Ricardo posing in front of a car.
The caption reads: “Today we say goodbye to Ricardo Godoi, an incredible person who left his mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

“His joy, generosity and light will continue to be present in our memories and every story he helped build.
“May he rest in peace.
