A humanoid robot who can do the household chores we prefer to avoid might just be the answer to your prayers.
The ‘Galbot’, who can hang clothes, pour drinks and pick up rubbish, was showcased this month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Last Vegas, Nevada, as reported by Need To Know.
The robot’s Chinese creator company, also known as Galbot, promises that more of its “generalised skills” will be announced soon.

Zhu Hui, product director of Galaxy General Robotics, said: “We believe that making robots in human form can better integrate them into human society, because most work scenarios in society are tailored to the human physiological structure.
“The greatest common denominator between embodied intelligence and human society can only be ‘human form’.
“Because the entire production and living environment is designed for humans.”
According to local press, the robot’s creators plan to deploy Galbots to markets with high labour costs over the next few years.
All of which begs the question – would you let a humanoid run your home?
