A plucky pooch has defended a man being robbed by three thugs in the street.
After arriving on a motorbike, the trio knocked the victim to the ground and proceeded to steal his belongings.
Meanwhile, the hero canine was seen sitting on the pavement a few feet away from the mugging.

The victim’s partner screamed at the thieves during the alleged robbery, alerting the dog to the situation.
The pooch ran over to the attackers and started barking aggressively.
They turned and ran as two suspects tried to hop onto the back of the fleeing motorbike.
But the pooch and the victim ran after them, preventing the two men from escaping on the back of the bike.
They were forced to flee on foot as the victim and dog gave up the chase.
They returned to the scene where the alleged robbery took place.
The attack took place in the Ecuadorian port city of Guayaquil, southwest of Quinto.
Many locals praised the pooch, as reported by Need To Know.
One local said: “I hope the dog got a nice bowl of food. Why didn’t anyone else bother to help?”
Tom added: “That little pooch is worth more than the president we have.”
Jorge said: “Give that brave dog a nice roast chicken.”
It’s unclear if the suspects managed to get away with any of the victim’s belongings.
The police investigation is ongoing.
