In a video, he can be seen skating on the side of a road as the yellow taxi passes by him.
The taxi overtakes him, with both of them appearing to be quite close to each other for a brief moment after.
After heading off in front, the taxi drives in the middle of the road, creating some distance between himself and the skater.
Gathering some speed, the man on his rollerskates edges closer to the vehicle, as he films himself using a selfie stick.
He gets close to the taxi before veering off to the side and the driver decides to swerve into the man.
The skater falls to the ground due to the impact.
He gets up onto his feet straight away and tries to go after the taxi driver who speeds off into the distance.
The rollerblader then hobbles onto a grass verge, with it being clear that he has injured his legs.
Luckily, the rollerskater only suffered minor injuries including various scratches and marks.
Since the video has been shared by local media, the local community of skaters and cyclists have called for action.
They have urged the Ministry of Mobility and the Traffic Police to launch an investigation into the incident.
The young rollerskater has been in contact with authorities and has filed a complaint, as reported by Need To Know.
So far, authorities have asked witnesses to provide information to them so that they can locate the whereabouts of the taxi driver.
The incident took place in Bogotá, Colombia, last week.
