A post-rescue photo shows the OAP standing upright inside his home with a brace around his neck.

The bizarre scenes unfolded on Sunday (16 Feb) afternoon in Contagem, Brazil.
The fire brigade was called out after the man got stuck in the slender gap between his home and the house next door as he tried to rescue a chicken.
In addition to an angle grinder, they used a sledgehammer to make the opening.
The operation lasted around half an hour, as reported by Need To Know.
The fire brigade stated: “A 78-year-old man fell into the gap between his home and the neighbouring property in the Santa Maria neighbourhood of Contagem.
“The Military Fire Department of the State of Minas Gerais made a controlled cut in the wall from inside a room in the house to reach the space between the walls.

“He was safely rescued with no fractures.
“As soon as he was freed from the hard-to-reach area, the Mobile Emergency Care Service team assisted him and took him to the emergency unit.”
It’s not clear what happened to the chicken.
