An influencer has revealed the terrifying moment she dodged death after almost being swept out to sea.
While on holiday, Avalon Mira decided to go for a relaxing dip following a day of off-roading to wash the mud off her body.
But the 26-year-old soon found herself in a dangerous situation.

In a video captured on her Instagram @patootiepeaches, the model and content creator can be seen sitting in the water in a seemingly shallow space, surrounded by rocks.
Her mum, as well as other relatives and friends who were on the trip with her, watch on from the safety of the beach.
Everything appears to be fine until seconds later, gigantic waves start crashing down on Avalon.
The instructor from the off-roading course, who is a local, shouts for the influencer to hold onto the rocks – as he rushes to the water to help her return to the shore.
“One of my hands was all cut up because I was holding on to the rocks so hard,” Avalon, from Colorado.

“I also banged my leg really hard from being pushed by the waves.
“My family and friends were as scared as I was because of the position I was in.
“The instructor from the off-roading excursion started shouting at me to get low, hold on and to brace myself.
“I could have been swept out further to sea or even have hit my head on the rocks.
“I could have died out there.”
Avalon survived the incident by the skin of her teeth.

She was initially joined in the ocean by her mother, who was also hit by some waves but they were much smaller.
Thankfully, her mum got out before the bigger waves hit and is also safe and sound
The incident took place on February 8th on the island of Curacao.
