A crook has been caught trying to snatch a bag from a mannequin after thinking it was a real person.
The clothed dummy, with a bag slung over its shoulder, was stood next to a pillar in an open shopfront.
CCTV shows a crook walking past before suddenly lunging at the mannequin, grabbing the bag and trying to run off with it.

The model topples forward as the hapless would-be robber makes his getaway empty-handed.
The shop owner can be seen emerging from the back of the store, placing the dummy upright and picking up its arm, which had broken off, as well as the abandoned bag.
The clip dates to 17 December but it began doing the rounds again after being shared on social media on Tuesday (18 Feb).
The bizarre scenes unfolded at a market in Warnes, Bolivia, as reported by Need To Know.
Social media users joked that it was the crook’s “first job”.
Belén quipped: “Your worker deserves a double payout.”
