A former Premier League youth player has revealed a club paid for pampered footballers to get their toenails clipped every fortnight
Lewis Bryon came through the ranks at Crystal Palace.
The defender was in the Eagles’ academy from the age of nine before leaving in 2021.

He said: “At Palace every two weeks you’d have someone come in to cut your toenails and do all your hard skin around your feet.”
He made the revelation on the Ball Talk podcast.

Bryon, 25, added: “They’d set up in the physio room on like one bed and it would just be like a line of the players.
“They sort everything.
“Every two weeks, at least.”
Current Palace and England stars Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze were there at the time.
Fellow Three Lions ace Conor Gallagher – now at Atlético Madrid – and Michael Olise – currently at Bayern Munich – were too.
Other big names in the squad at the time included Wilfred Zaha.

The revelation comes as Manchester United are making a series of cuts to their non-playing staff, as reported by What’s The Jam.
