A new AI robot has been unveiled to act as a “security guard, housekeeper and cleaner” for its human owners.
Named Lingxi X2, the humanoid was designed by the robotics start-up, AgiBot.
It is described as a “versatile general-purpose humanoid robot blending advanced artificial intelligence with cutting-edge robotics”.

Lingxi X2 stands at 1.3m (4.3ft) tall, weighs 74.6lbs (33.8kg), as reported by Need To Know.
In addition to performing menial tasks, the robot can walk, run, turn, dance, ride a scooter and even cycle.
AgiBot claims the humanoid is a new benchmark in robotic mobility and versatility.
Its advanced AI brain allows the robot to not only process information but also retain it to make decisions.
“The X2 is endowed with lively ‘life-like characteristics’, mimicking human breathing rhythms, ‘observing’ subtly, and displaying various small movements and body language, thus demonstrating emotional expression capabilities,” said the Chinese start-up.
“In terms of task performance, it is equipped with zero-sample generalization abilities for manipulating objects in simple tasks.
“It can also facilitate multi-robot collaboration for certain tasks, extending its application to various aspects of daily life.
“The robot is capable of performing the three primary roles – security guard, housekeeper and cleaner – and can be applied across education, healthcare, and other fields.”
The company plans to continue exploring humanoid robot applications in other scenarios.
With its advanced capabilities, the robot is expected to become an important assistant in human life, bringing greater possibilities to the future of intelligent living.
