Six masked men stole 34 bottles of booze from an off licence in a lightning-quick, 40 second raid.
The shopkeeper – who was holding a feather duster – instantly knew something was up as the crooks poured in.
Three of the thieves got behind the counter and the man picked up a stick and tried to beat one away.

But he was powerless to stop them as one of the raiders bundled him towards the back.
Four men started grabbing bottles of spirits from the shelves.
They passed them to the other men or loaded them into their jacket pockets.
The six men then left the corner shop, in Southall, west London on Tuesday (18 Mar) evening.
The raid was captured on the CCTV in the off licence, as reported on Need To Know.
One local – called Joe – said: “Pretty sure a dirty toilet brush would scare them off.”

Lee Smith added: “Good old broken Britain.”
Lorraine fumed: “Man just trying to make a living.”
Another added: “Corner shops should be allowed to keep weapons behind the counter.
“Baseball bats, pepper spay etc.”
Pannu Jas said: “Absolutely shameful and disgusting.”

The Met Police has been approached for comment.
