A little girl complaining of nosebleeds actually had a leech up her nose.
The three-year-old had been suffering with them for four days.
They started after her sister took her to wash her face in a stream.
Her parents took her to hospital and doctors were stunned to find the bizarre cause.
She was seen by Dr Chaiwat Prompanyakul – an ear, nose and throat doctor.
He carefully examined her nasal cavity and discovered a leech nestled inside.

Video footage showed the results from a camera which was inserted into the child’s nose.
Chaiwat successfully used a suction machine to remove the leech and disinfected the area.
After being seen late at night on 5 April, she was able to go soon after, as reported by Need To Know.
The child initially visited the Omkoi Hospital, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, but was sent to the Nakhornping Center Hospital, also in Chiang Mai.

Local Werawan said: “It’s so big.
“How do you breathe when it’s in the nose?”
Another added: “Thank you to all doctors and nurses.”

“Scary,” Suriya added.
Somchai said: “Scary and dangerous. May you be safe.”
“It’s scary. I hope you are safe,” added a fifth.
