An influencer who claims to have been banned from visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after being found with a butt plug says her nan was shocked when she found out.
Sarah Button has gone viral on TikTok after sharing details of the incident and how it has affected her future travel plans.
In a clip that has over 88,000 views, she explains how, a few years ago, she tried to travel to Dubai with a butt plug filled with her late boyfriend’s ashes.

The 26-year-old had inserted it when she walked through security,

She’s also revealed what her family said of the ordeal, including her nan, who then discovered what her granddaughter does for a living.
“At the time, I contacted my dad to contact the embassy so there was no hiding it,” Sarah told Need To Know.

“After a few hours of waiting, a really fancy official came in, and we were brought in to sign a document and never to return.
“Apparently, it was a whole debacle on my dad’s end with them as well.
“There’s so much to it, I remember more all the time, it was really quite a crazy day.
“It was such a big debacle in the family when it happened, so she [my nan] definitely understood.

“She said that she’ll probably never see Dubai now, which made me feel bad, but it is what it is.
“My nana kind of found out by mistake [about my job] when our camera rolls synced and all of my nude pictures ended up on her phone.
“She said, ‘I never thought I’d see that much of you’.
“She’s an understanding person; I think if she had the same technology when she was young, she would have done the same.

“I feel like it [how they react to the news of my adult job] varies with the family members.
“My dad unfortunately follows my social media, so I imagine he sees some stuff there, and just what’s in the news.
“My sister lives with me, so she knows.
“I get embarrassed for a moment, but it’s fleeting, it is what it is, and I financially support them all so they understand the benefits of the whole thing.

“They haven’t really reacted negatively.
“The only negative is when my sister is dating and they recognise me, or when she’s on a dating app and they try to get through to me.
“My nana, it’s just unspoken.”
As for future travels, Sarah is prepared to take her late boyfriend’s ashes with her again.

She said: “I had an issue going through LAX once where I was held, but only for a few hours.
“Pretty spooky though.
“And I now have to go through Singapore for any layovers instead.
“[But despite the issues], I can take him [my late boyfriend] with me to places we only ever dreamed of going.
“My life has changed a lot, and I wish he were here to see it, but I’m glad I get to take him with me to places like the Great Barrier Reef and concerts of bands he loved.”
