The 17-year-old’s body was discovered on 1 April but she wasn’t identified until two weeks later.
The National Institute of Forensic Medicine spent 15 days analysing the teenager’s body.

According to Luisa’s mother, she was last seen when she left the house accompanied by some of her friends.
She did not return home but had reportedly answered some of the messages she received on her mobile phone on 31 March.

In the messages, she didn’t provide information on her whereabouts.
Her parents reported her missing to authorities, as reported by Need To Know.

According to local press, police already have indications about the alleged perpetrator of this crime.

They were able to pick up clues along the Sonso lagoon, a lake in Puerto Bertín, close to where Luisa’s body was found.
“Within the judicial proceedings there are indications of those allegedly responsible for this event, who apparently would be involved, according to the material evidence and the physical evidence collected with the homicide of this young woman,” said Colonel Pedro Pablo Astaiza Cerón, commander of the Valle del Cauca Police Department.
No further details have yet been released surrounding the investigation.
