The Polar Airlines flight took off from Zyryanka in far-eastern Russia with 16 passengers and five crew members on board.
The Antonov An-24 aircraft encountered a problem with its right engine while it was in mid-air.
The pilot noticed a sudden oil level decrease and decided to shut it down completely.
The crew then spent the next hour flying with just one remaining engine, as reported by Need To Know.

It landed safely at Mezhdunarodnyy Airport in the city of Yakutsk.
A Polar Airlines spokesperson said: “During flight JP 286 on the route Zyryanka to Yakutsk, a decrease in oil level in the right engine was noticed on the An-24 aircraft.

“The aircraft captain decided to turn it off, and the plane flew for about an hour on one engine.
“Thanks to the competent and professional actions of the crew, the flight successfully landed at the airport in Yakutsk.”
The airline added: “There were no injuries.”
