A steamer has landed himself in hot water after wandering through a busy city holding a rifle and pretending to be in a “real-life first-person shooter game”.
220ninimaru, as he is known online, was taken to a police station for questioning.
The Kick gamer broadcast himself to thousands of people, pulling out what local press reported as a Tokyo Marui AKX Gas Blowback Rifle, which is not a real gun, reports Need To Know.

He could be seen running around while holding the realistic-looking toy gun, acting like he was a character playing in a first-person shooter game.
With over 2,000 people watching, he was then approached by police in a restaurant, who took him outside to inspect the supposed weapon.
Officers confiscated the item.
At the police station, the content creator placed his phone in a locker and ended the live stream.
The bizarre incident took place in Osaka, Japan, on 15 April.
According to reports, less than 10 miles away, an exhibition was being held with strict anti-terror security measures.
The streamer has since apologised and admitted that he got “too carried away”.
It is believed that 220ninimaru has since been released.
He was reportedly told that he is not allowed to take the gun out in public anymore without a permit.
