An influencer and her husband were kidnapped in the street after they posted photos of their bling online.
Monniky Fraga and her partner Lucas were approached near their home after spending time at the beach.
A group of criminals demanded that she hand over her gold jewellery, which she had reportedly exposed on social media.

Monniky, who is also a mum, said that the jewellery was not purchased by her, but was given to her as part of one of her jobs as a digital influencer.
She said the criminals beat her husband while asking for her to give them the gold chains, as reported by Need To Know.
After she refused, both Monniky and Lucas were led into a forest where they were held for hours.
The armed criminals allegedly threatened to torture them.
Monniky said: “It was hours inside a forest, I didn’t know if I was going to come back.

“There was a river there and at all times I thought, ‘They’re going to kill me and they’re going to throw me in here and I’ll never see anyone again’.
“In my head, I only thought about my children and said ‘I’ll give you everything you want, you don’t need to do anything to me, after I leave here I’ll forget about it’.
“They threatened all the time – ‘I’m going to shoot the knee, I’m going to shoot the foot’, but I begged so much that nothing happened.”

Monniky was shocked at how quickly things escalated as she initially thought that the three men were going to steal her car.
She said: “There were three armed guys and at first I thought they were going to take my car.
“When they told us to go with them, I understood that it was going much further.
“I thought, ‘This is someone to kill me’.

“At the time, I just thought ‘I’m dead’.”
Luckily, the Military Police intervened and were able to help Monniky and Lucas out of the situation.
According to police, the criminals contacted the victim’s mother to alert her that her daughter and son-in-law had been kidnapped.
A ransom of an unknown amount was paid so that the couple could be released.
Civil Police officers are currently investigating the case to identify who was responsible for the kidnapping.
Monniky filed a police report on 22 April after the events which took place in Igarassu, Brazil, on 21 April.
