Blackout-hit citizens have been filmed directing traffic and panicking in broken-down lifts after a major power outage hit Spain and Portugal.
There was chaos on the roads during the power cut yesterday (28 Apr).
One video, filmed in Spain, showed a man standing in the middle of a multi-lane road.

He was holding a shopping bag in one hand and directing traffic with the other.
It was captioned: “People with real guts in the face of the national blackout.”
Another video showed a man in a helmet and a hi-vis jacket doing the same thing.
It was captioned: “There’s no electricity in Madrid, the traffic lights aren’t working, and this man who works in construction is out here helping to direct the traffic.”
Other unlucky residents happened to be in lifts when the power outages hit, as reported by Need To know.
One young man was taking the rubbish out when he got stuck.
He posted a series of videos documenting his boredom before his phone ran out of battery.
Elsewhere, one poor mother got stuck in a dark lift with her infant baby.
She wrote: “The blackout hits while I’m in the lift and I end up trapped inside with my nine-month-old daughter.
“We got such a scare.”
Others filmed themselves in good spirits after they got stuck on a rollercoaster during the power cut.
Power has been nearly fully restored across Spain and substations in Portugal are now being reactivated following the widespread blackouts.
Officials are now working to establish what caused the mass outage.
