A lucky elderly labrador was saved after falling down a remote gorge.
Rescuers stretchered an OAP dog nearly a mile to safety after she broke her leg.
Twenty people responded to the call out to the four stone seven pound (33kg) black pooch called Cocoa.

She was injured in a remote part of the Dart Gorge at Dartmeet, on Dartmoor, Devon.
Dartmoor Search and Rescue Ashburton managed to get to her in what was described as an unusual rescue, as reported by Need To Know.

A spokesperson said: “One of our more unusual callouts.
“The rescue team was called out for a dog with an injured leg located in a remote part of the Dart gorge.
“The elderly dog had broken its leg and was approximately 1km downstream from Dartmeet.
“Once the dog and owner were located by the team, Cocoa, a 30kg labrador was evacuated by stretcher to Dartmeet where her owner then drove to a local vet.
“Twenty team members responded to this incident.”

Her owner’s sister Karina Simpson later paid tribute to Cocoa’s rescuers saying: “Celebrating mum’s 103rd birthday anniversary on Dartmoor started off beautifully.
“Then an emergency call to Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team – Ashburton to come to the aid of my brother’s dog who had broken her leg in a particularly difficult part of our river walk.
“The team were absolutely brilliant – all 20 of them.
“All professional, kind, helpful and hearty folk.
“We cannot thank them all enough.
“Cocoa’ was in the best hands – they even had a vet in the team – and she was taken straight to the vets once we got back to our cars.
“You were all absolutely brilliant.
“Cocoa had the very best care.
“Thank you each and everyone for your professionalism and kindness.”
