A man who stuck a giant glass bottle up his rectum was forced to go to the emergency room.
The unidentified 30-year-old had no other known physical or mental health issues.
But he was reported to have a history of sticking similar objects into his anus, as reported by Need To Know.

Described as unmarried, the man, who worked as a labourer, was in a stable condition despite having 10cm of glass inside him.
The case report added: “Abdominal examination revealed a soft, non-tender abdomen with a palpable foreign body around the umbilical region.

“Digital rectal examination showed normal anal tone with a glass bottle palpable in the rectum from the anal verge.
“The laboratory investigations revealed an elevated total leukocyte count of 13.9 x 10^9/L, which may indicate inflammation.”
An abdominal ultrasound noted the presence of excess gasses before the exact shape and size of the bottle were revealed on an X-ray.

The man was subsequently prepared for theatre and the bottle was soon removed through a procedure known as transanal extraction.
This involved putting pressure on the man’s abdomen so that the bottle could be directly removed from his anus without making any incisions.

The man is reported to have recovered well from the surgery.
He was, however, given counselling in a bid to discourage him from continuing to stick objects into his anus.
