A bemused man walking in the other direction looked back in astonishment.
It happened yesterday (5 May) morning in Windrush Square, Brixton, south London.

A shocked onlooker filmed it on their mobile phone.
The moped zoomed past the Brixton Library towards the Black Cultural Archives.
The eight-second video then came to an end.
Locals were left shocked, as reported on Need To Know.
Trudy Vanders fumed: “These mugs are nothing but pond scum.”

Sabrin Isaja added: “Welcome to broken London.”
A third said, “Outside Brixton Library is crazy too.”
A fourth added: “Does leaving a bike unattended in South London invalidate the insurance?”

The Met Police has been approached for comment.
