A 58-year-old woman has been stabbed to death “by her son’s partner” after posting a cryptic message on social media.
Stefania Camboni’s son found his mother in a pool of blood on her bedroom floor when he got home from work yesterday (15 May) morning.
She was partially covered by a bedsheet and her face was buried under some pillows.

There were at least 15 stab wounds on her body, including several to the chest and a deep cut to the throat.
Pathologists are investigating to determine whether she was also suffocated.
Stefania’s son’s partner, Giada Crescenzi, was the only other person in the house on Wednesday (14 May) night.

Crescenzi, 31, was later arrested on suspicion of murdering Stefania while she slept.
During questioning, she claimed her partner’s mother had fallen victim to a robbery gone wrong.
She claimed she had taken a sleeping pill and was wearing earplugs at the time, as reported by Need To Know.
Drawers inside the home in Fregene, near Fiumicino, Rome, Italy, appeared to have been rummaged through.
And Stefania’s car was found parked outside with a window rolled down.

Her purse was found in a ditch not far away.
Police believe the scenes were staged.
Officers said there was no sign of forced entry and neither cash nor valuables were missing from the home.
Just hours before the horror unfolded, Stefania posted a cryptic, emotional message on social media.
She wrote: “When you try to hurt me, remember that I watched the coffin close on the most important person in my life.”
Stefania lost her husband in 2020 and her friends say she never really recovered from his death.
Her sister and son have been interviewed by the police as part of the investigation.
The police want to find out if money or inheritance issues could have caused friction with Crescenzi.
Crescenzi and her partner moved in with Stefania about a month ago amid a desperate search for a place to live.
She had written in local social media groups: “We’re in a critical situation! Please! We’ll sleep on the floor, we don’t care.”
Stefania’s friend Agostina told local media: “I can’t believe someone could have hurt her. She was such a sweet and kind person.
“I know things weren’t great within that family, but I never heard of any real arguments.”
