A brazen suspected pickpocket dipped his hand into an unsuspecting woman’s backpack before being rumbled.
The flat-cap-wearing man was spotted walking closely behind her.
He put his hand in the rucksack and pulled out one of her personal belongings.

But an onlooker spotted his actions, and the man then calmly crossed the street.
The witness said, “Check your bag.”
He claimed: “He just pickpocketed your bag.
“Check your bag.
“That woman there and that man there.
“Check your bag.”
It happened on Piccadilly, central London, near Caffè Concerto, as reported on Need To Know.
Model Leah Ray fumed: “Yeah, if he tried that with me, he wouldn’t be walking away.”
Another Londoner – called Pete – said: “It’s rife.”
John Smith added: “I am sure the Met Police are on top of it.”
Another said: “Absolute piece of s*it.”
The Met Police has been approached for comment.
