A brazen man used an angle grinder to cut through a bike lock outside a branch of Marks and Spencer.
He was seen kneeling down next to the bicycle stand.
Sparks were seen flying off the metal lock which one of two bikes was attached to the pole by.

One onlooker said: “That’s f*cked.
“How’s he doing that?”
Another added: “I don’t even know.
“This guy’s lost it.”
It happened on Kingsland High Street, Dalston, north London yesterday (2 Jun).
Locals reacted with shock, as reported on Need To Know.

Chris Roberts joked: “Needs safety goggles.”
One former resident Jordan Reddington said: “Don’t go back to Dalston.”
Aaron added: “Zero cares given.

“Zero implications.
“Joke.”
Daniel Rozario claimed: “Very experienced thief.

“In a public place he was doing it without fear.”
Robert Emanuel said: “Why is no one stopping him or even shouting at him and scaring him off?”
Another added: “He could have lost his key.
“Or forgot the combination.”
The Met Police has been approached for comment.

Surely it must be possible for police to identify the thief from the video, especially if he already has a record (doesn’t look like his first time). Why is bicycle and phone theft being virtually ignored by police forces?
